    I have been on Keto diet since 2010 without even realizing it. Just ate meat and eggs. That time, I just gave up all carbs and sugar. I never got tired since then. I can jog for 4 hours non-stop, then hit the gym right after for another 1 and a half hour. My muscles became more toned. Energy levels are through the roof. 4 hours of sleep is enough. Man, I tell you.. I am defying aging. I am 36, but people always tell me I look 25. I tried to go back to eating carbs. I felt like garbage. This is for real. Keto for life.

    Dr. Berry I have stage 4 Kidney failure, and have been diagnosed with R.A. I did the shots and Methaltrexate, and Prednisone about 6 months, and the predisone for a couple of years I have been doing Keto, 90%, but I'm afraid if I go into Ketosis I will crap out the last of my one lone Kidney….do you think I can follow it right on the money, and still get healthier.

    I don’t think agave nectar is high on the glycemic index but it is worse for one’s health than the “Evil” High fructose corn syrup that everyone is avoiding.

    I understand that wheat has greatly changed over the centuries, but wheat was eaten during ancient times. It's in the Scriptures here: 2 Samuel 17:28 & Isaiah 28:25. Today's wheat is not good for consumption, so I agree that it should not be a part of the diet.

    Desert fruit juice honey get rid of all stuff sugar. Get sugar out of the diet…. Do not eat anything with sugar. Step 2 get rid of all the grains wheat, inflammatory protein, corn is a grain inflame your gut. Get rid of rice get rid of oats. Step 3 get rid of vegetable oils canola oil sunflower oil corn oil and soya bean oil margarine. Don't add just remove the chemicals out of your kitchen

    I'm just now seeing your videos for the first time. I've been doing the keto diet (sometimes not as perfectly as I should) for about a month now. And I feel much better all around. My biggest hang up from time to time, is artificial sweeteners (only monk fruit and stevia types), but I'm slowly pushing those out as well.

    I worked for Dr. Robert Morse ND (has YouTube channel) in port Charlotte, Florida and he has INSANE cure rates for… well about everything. Terminal cancer cure rates in the 90%+. He uses strict raw vegan principles and herbal tinctures etc. and analyzes the bodies constitution with iridology. He was best friends with the famous Dr. Bernard Jensen who was always searching for the optimal diet. He has found that people who do keto burn up their kidneys with all the acidic waste from protein metabolism. The entire principle of raw vegan is to alkalinize the interstitial cellular fluid. I did raw vegan very strictly (stone crushed olive oil etc.) 3 times. First for a month, then later 3 months, then for nearly 2 years. This diet assumes that whole, raw, unadultered fruits and veggies contain all the necessary buffers within itself to balance neg. constituents (oxalates etc.) Its all about whole and raw and nature takes care of the rest. When i did this, the philosophy said i would break down all my healthy tissues in order to rebuild on superior plant based constituents. The body cannot use proteins, it has to use "keyword" ACIDS to break down protein into amino acids. Fruits have the necessary bioavailable aminos in perfect balance "although who knows if any fruits are like they were thousands of years ago. I always lost a tremendous amount of weight on raw veg and it seemed my gums received significantly. (but that is of course they are breaking down only to be rebuilt like a gorilla!) I went from my avg weight of about 185 to 140 and lost 6 inches off my already very fit frame. (I have a kinesiology degree and exercised about 16 hrs. a week religiously) I lost all my muscle and even felt it being used as fuel while weight lifting on an occasion and that was unlike any other feeling I've had. I ate several pounds of fruit and 2 lbs. of greens per day. often 14 bananas and 6 oranges for lunch for example. I was always FREAKING STARVING and never satiated. I am in a world of but extremely open minded obviously. I 9 appreciate any input. Thanks!

    That's interesting because one thing I keep hearing about are electrolytes and how you need to make sure you have enough when eating the keto way.

    When I looked into what that meant the first thing that pops up are powders that supply you with all your electrolytes (whatever they are) and I don't want that, so I thought I'd come here and ask what it's all about. You have inspired confidence in me, which these sources do not. Can you tell me which real foods to regularly eat to not have to worry about this? Or if it's even a worry at all?

    I heard avocado, kale, broccoli and salt will take of you in this regard, but I just don't know where or when I heard that, so am hesitant to go on that memory alone.

    This content is helpful, I just wish it didn’t just label foods as “good” and “bad” as those terms don’t allow for moderation within your macros. Those labels are also prevalent among those struggling with eating disorders. How about “high carb” or “best in moderation”?

    I tried doing this a couple times. I only made it for one week! I could only think day and night about wanting my carbs! I am a full-blown sugar-holiday and the only reason I am only 10lbs overweight is because I hike 8-10 miles up and down trails in the state of Washington. My late husband did this n lost 30lbs in 6 weeks but it made his breath smell funny n eventually he put it all back on when he went back on carbs. It just didn’t seem very healthy to me but he probably did it incorrectly. He cut out all fruits n veggies and only ate lots of eggs, cheese, bacon and meat. I got really tired of that quickly.

    no sugar is not keto. keto is maintaining a certain ratio of carbohydrates to fats and proteins. spoiler alert, fruits and vegetables have carbohydrates in them. also, I doubt that 30k year ago man ate primarily protein all year round.

    I like the Swerve sweetener. It is absolutely good, no after taste. It is so so expensive. Is the Monk fruit extract cheaper? And where can you find it. I've cut out bread and grains and the rice, no problem doing so. I drink water.

    Can I be a vegetarian on this diet? I can live on veggies forever. I love fruit, and gives me a sweet craving cure. I heard a great line that helped me last time I had to lose 50lbs.

    Plus I've had a complete hysterectomy in my late 20s. Everything seems harder now.

    I did the Adkins diet in my 30s, reached ketosis in three weeks; which was 35 years ago. Last week I had blood work done at my doctors.

    My insulin level normal, my cholesterol excellent according to my doctor.

    Dr. berry is absolutely correct on the Keto Diet plan and I am living proof I am loosing weight and feeling better thanI ever have I am # 2 Diabetic soon to be none my A1c dropped to 5.5 it was 6.5 four months ago slowly going back to a normal range because of the Keto diet my joints do not hurt me as they once did 28.5 ilb in 3 1/2 months but a healthy way for me not to harsh for me in a year I bet ya!!!!! I'am off Insulin completely. a healthy diet and Omega 3's Krill Oil 1000mgs and Fatty Acids,240 mg, EPA, 136 mg, DHA 60 mg ,
    it all is working thanks to Dr. Berry.

    Just found your videos. I have been eating Keto since April 1st. Stopped this video right in the middle and went to my pantry to purge crap that I had in there. Came out with a garbage bag full of junk that weighs as much as I have lost in the past 14 weeks! At least 25 pounds of crap going to the garbage! Why did I still have that in there??? Really good question. Now I have room for healthy foods!!

    I used to be a sugarholic on the verge of diabetes and 80 lbs overweight. So I knew I had to do something. Before keto diet became the rage, I gave up sugar, all processed foods, junk food and starches. I lost 52 lbs and I've 28 more to go. My arthritis is gone. I feel amazing. The thing is, once you give up all the bad stuff, you don't crave them anymore!

    Dr berry. I really need this diet. I have joint problems . i feel swollen. I have blood sugar issues and my weight is unacceptable. Ok im going to get rid of this bad stuff. I am Catholic and i receive communion 3-4 times a week. Its a wafer. Will this hurt my diet.
