6 Days of Breakfast | Healthy Breakfast Ideas & Recipes

Some say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. That may be debatable, but it doesn’t change the fact that breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. At home I have a very important task – keeping the husband alive by preparing his daily sustenance. So in this video, I thought I’ll share how I prepare breakfast for the both of us over the span of six days. For the meals that I’m preparing in this video, I’ll leave all the written recipes which you can find in the description box below. To start off the week. I’ll be making four servings of baked veggie omelette. First, I’ll preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Then, I’ll chop about ½ cup of veggies to use as toppings. This time round, I’ll be using some bell peppers and cherry tomatoes. I’ll crack 6 eggs, add ¼ cup milk, and season them with some salt and black pepper. Then, mix well. I’ll then line a baking tray with parchment paper and pour in the egg mixture. I’ll add in my veggies and then top with some cheese. Pop the tray into the oven and leave it to bake at 190°C (375°F) for about 20 minutes or so. And we’re done. We’ll have two servings today, and the remaining two servings will go into the fridge for tomorrow’s breakfast. For today’s breakfast, I’ll also toast some bread, top it with nut butter and cinnamon. I also added some chilli powder and dried parsley on a baked omelette for extra flavor, and that is breakfast for Day 1. Since I have an avocado that has ripened nicely, I’ll use that as a spread for our toasts and serve it alongside the baked omelette from yesterday. For Day 3, I’m gonna make one of my favorite breakfast recipes – banana pancakes. I love it not for just how good it tastes, but also for how simple it is to make. I’ll simply add 4 ripe bananas, 4 large eggs, 1 cup of oats and blend it on high until the mixture becomes smooth. This batter would be enough to make about four servings of pancakes. Next on low heat, add about 2 to 3 tablespoons of batter per pancake into a greased pan. When bubbles start to surface on the pancakes, it’s time to flip them, and it’s always such a pleasing sight when the pancakes turn out golden brown like this. Once the underside has also turned golden brown, I can remove the pancakes from the heat and I’ll repeat the same process for the rest of the batter. Today I’m in a mood for some nut butter, fresh strawberries and blueberries to go with my pancakes. That’ll be breakfast for Day 3. Then I’ll pop the remaining two servings of pancakes into the fridge and that’ll be breakfast for tomorrow. We’ll have pretty much the same exact thing for breakfast for Day 4, depending on what nut butter and fresh fruits we have at our disposal. Day 5 I’ll be making some good old chocolate oatmeal. I’ll be using 2 ripe bananas as a sweetener for the oatmeal, then I’ll add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, 1 cup of oats, a bit of cinnamon, a pinch of salt, ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 2½ cups of milk into the saucepan. I’ll keep stirring it on medium heat until it’s bubbling, after which I’ll turn to low heat and stir until the mixture is thickened and the oats softened. When oatmeal is done cooking, I’ll divide them into four servings. For today’s servings, we’re topping with some berries, nut butter, and pumpkin seeds, and that’s breakfast for Day 5. Once the remaining two servings of oatmeal have cooled, I’ll add some frozen fruits into the containers and pop them into the fridge. For the 6th and final day, I’ll simply add a splash of milk and microwave it on high for about a minute. Stir, and that’s breakfast done for Day 6. And that’s our 6 days of breakfast. You may have noticed by now but I’m a fan of the cook once eat twice method of meal prepping, as it has made life so much easier. Thanks for watching the video.
