This was very helpful. I'm a Sunday school teacher for 2 year olds, and I have a girl with an EpiPen. First time my class had her, the mom hands me a bag, says "Here's her EpiPen", and walks off before I can ask what her allergy is. Like, hello, we have snack time every week! Tell me how to take care of your child! We also consistently have kids with diarrhea, and the parents are surprised EVERY TIME. Like, you never once knew your kid was having trouble beforehand? This happened last week, too. 🤦🏻‍♀️ My boss wants to get us shirts saying "Changing poopy diapers for Jesus is legit." Anyway, thank you for sharing, and I'm glad the guy was ok!

My friend died on a plane after having an anaphylactic reaction to some food… She was 15. So I'm really grateful that you were here to save this man. Doctors are amazing in that when a medical emergency suddenly happens, they can be the difference between someone dying young or living a nice long life until they're elderly. I hope to somebody become a doctor and help people the way you're able to 🙂

I'd recommend getting away from the term "EpiPen" which is the brand name of an abusively over priced epinephrine auto injector and use the term "epinephrine auto injector" instead.

You can get epinephrine auto injectors for 1/60th the price of Epi-Pen's.   And at that price, airlines have no excuse for not stocking them.

    https://www.consumerreports.org/drug-prices/epipen-alternative-that-costs-just-10-dollars/
"Good news: Now you can get an EpiPen alternative known as generic Adrenaclick for as little as $10 for a two-pack at CVS—and you don't need insurance to get it.
What's more, there are other alternatives such as generic EpiPen and Auvi-Q—a third competitor soon back on the market— that you can get for free, depending on your insurance and manufacturer coupons.

EpiPen's manufacturer, Mylan Pharmaceuticals, has steadily increased the price of a two-pack over several years to $600 or more—even for people with insurance. The sharply higher price shocked parents last summer when they went to buy EpiPen devices for their children for the new school year. "
