Are you little lazy to cook food?
And every morning you skip the breakfast?
Or looking for healthy breakfast ideas?
Well, today as well we are going to discuss a very simple recipe
Which requires minimum ingredients
And gets cooked in just five minutes
And today on the occasion of Republic Day
I have added a simple twist to the recipe
I have taken 1 cup gram flour
which makes upto 5-6 cheela
You can adjust the quantity according to your needs
And this requires almost 1 cup water
But keep in mind that you don’t mix the water at one go
Mix half cup water first and then the second half
Otherwise you will end up having lumps in the batter
Now whisk it for a minute
And keep it aside
And we will prepare the veggies
I have taken one capsicum and carrot
You can take veggies of your choice
And here is first tip of busy and lazy people
If you do not want to spend time and effort in chopping the vegetables
This food chopper comes really handy
I have put the link to buy the product in description below
Just divide the capsicum into big pieces to fit the chopper
And with just 4-5 pulls, chopped capsicum is ready
Same way I have taken one green chilli, 1 inch ginger
and coriander leaves
and chopped it together
You can chop the carrot as well in this chopper
But grated carrot tastes better.
Well, if you ask me how is this recipe healthy?
Because pakoras and namkeens which are made out of gram flour are not healthy
So, to clarify, gram flour contains a lot of protein
If you mix it with a lot of oil, it turns unhealthy
Otherwise, 1 cup of gram flour contains 10 gms of protein
So we are going to make this recipe oil free!!
Now we are ready to make cheela
Mix ginger chilli coriander paste into the batter
Salt to taste
And mix it well.
You might need to mix little bit of water as well.
Heat the pan on medium flame
And when pan is heated,
Take one spoonful of batter,
And spread it from inside to outside, just like how I have done it
Pan should not be too hot, so keep in mind to keep it on medium flame
Now the twist of Republic Day
I have decorated carrot and capsicum like national flag
And keep in mind to keep veggies as soon as you spread the batter
to stick it well to the cheela
We will cook this side again
so I am going to flip it when it’s half cooked
Now cook the other side for a minute
And flip it back
And for the white portion of national flag, I have used cheese
Now cover it for half a minute
After half a minute, cheese is melted
And our gram flour cheela is ready
This National Flag Cheela is as beautiful in looks as in taste
