Hinton’s Pig Chips | What a top-notch keto snack!

Oooh. I could not be more excited about
this week’s review. It is for these guys, Hinton’s Pig Chips, and that’s starting right now. Hey, guys! Welcome to A.D. Keto. My name is Aaron. This is the channel where you
can watch a weird dad work his way through the ketogenic diet. I do some
keto eating vlogs, I do some keto product reviews, and I do some keto giveaways. If
this is your first time here, please consider subscribing, and if you do make
sure you’re on notification squad by clicking the bell. All right, guys. I’m kind
of giddy about this review, because I have got in my little hands here
Hinton’s Pig Chips. They came in the May 2018 KetoKrate. You can watch the
unboxing of that one right up there. This is a product from Nick Hinton — this guy
right here. From the mind and mighty beard of Nick Hinton comes Hinton’s Pig
Chips. I hope they didn’t come from his beard. That’s a little disturbing. I
follow Nick on Instagram. He’s a super-cool guy. Check him out right there. And he was on the keto diet, and he’s like, “You know what? These pork rinds are not doing it
for me. I’m gonna see if I can come up with something better.” And what these are are pieces of pig skin with meat and fat still attached, which is amazing. Before I
get into them, I’ll talk a little bit about the ingredients and the
macronutrients. So we’ve got 15 grams of fat and 9 grams of protein, 0 grams of
carbs. Ingredients: rendered pork fat (with skin and meat attached), salt, spices, and
love. Produced in packaged at Indy’s Kitchen, 2442 Central Ave, Indianapolis, Indiana 46205. When I originally opened this, I was like, “Where are the calories?
what’s up with that? They don’t have the calories listed on here.” And shout out to
BFray, who commented on the KetoKrate unboxing. He was like, “Dummy, there’s math. You can use math. Take the amount of fat (that’s 15 grams) multiplied by 9, and add
it to the number of grams of protein times 4. That’s 135 plus 36. There should be 171 calories in the bag. So I checked with Nick on
Instagram. I was like, “Hey, you didn’t list the calories on the bag. Do you know, off
the top of your head, how many there are?” He’s like, “171.” So shout out to BFray
for setting me straight with the mathematics. At any rate, I am so excited
to try these. This is original. There are two other flavors. There’s a BBQ, and I
believe Hot and Spicy. My buddy Scott reviewed all three of the flavors over
on his channel. You should check that out if you’re interested. But I am going to tear
into this bag. I’m very very excited. RIP. We have a resealable bag, which I like. Good. Let’s take the desiccant out of
here. “Oxygen absorber. Do not microwave.” Good advice. Look at the size of this
thing! Holy cow. That…that’s an enormous one.
This is the largest one in the bag. Like, there’s not much left in the bag. This
might be a couple of them fused together. You can see there’s some good-looking
spicy stuff on there. Man. Oh my god. You can hear how crunchy it is. My goodness. That’s like… it’s so interesting, because you… you bite through the top, and it’s kind of gooey and fatty. And then that bottom part — it’s kind of
like… this one, at least — it’s like sometimes you get those hard-as-a-diamond nuggets
at the bottom of a pork rinds bag. I got a little bit of that. Not quite as severe,
but I really do like the contrast of that. Okay, I’m SO on board with these.
Holy cow. There’s a tiny little guy. This is the next one I pulled out. It’s about
ten percent the size of the first one. And that one was much lighter and
fluffier. It was like, almost all air. Let me have one more medium-sized one.
There we go. Oh good. So this is the original. Oh. That is so satisfying. You know my
favorite…You know what is really is coming through more than anything? It’s that
ingredient right there. The love. Nick, amazing. Guys, this is so good.
What more can I say about… the texture, I’m all on board. There’s such a nice
contrast with the soft fattiness, the crunchiness. Taste is fantastic, macros
are on point. I mean, this is really good stuff. Fantastic snack. That’s my review. I have a couple other really fun things to tell
you about. I got in touch with Nick, and I said, “Hey, I’m gonna review the the
package of Pig Chips that came in the KetoKrate on my channel.” And he was
like, “Oh, cool. Let me hook you up with a discount code. So there’s a discount code
that you guys can use. If you go over to to place an
order, you use the offer code ADKETO. You will get 15% off your order. So
that’s super, super-exciting. And also, I would be remiss if I did not mention
that Nick has started a GoFundMe, because he’s planning on ramping up production
and introducing at least one more product. Right now, Hinton’s Pig Chips is
pretty small. They’re… but they’re growing. And supporting him, and supporting
companies like his, that are doing things for people on keto — I feel really good
about supporting Nick and companies like Hinton’s Pig Chips. So I will leave the
link in the description for Nick’s GoFundMe. Go check it out. Support this
guy. Support his team, because they’re going places. Man, this stuff. I’m so on
board. LOVE Hinton’s Pig Chips. So that’s my review. Check them out. Use that offer code, ADKETO gives you 15% off, and check out his GoFundMe. That’s gonna wrap it up for this review, guys. I hope you liked it.
I hope you support Nick and Hinton’s Pig Chips, because they’re SO GOOD.
I hope you have a fantastic day, and I will see you next time! a

Convince corner gas station in Hamlet N.C. Have the best cracklings, if you’re ever in the area. Gonna try these to make sure though

My favorite snack so far in all of the boxes I've opened. Very very satisfying. Top product

  12. JODI LEE Posted on June 12, 2018 at 4:13 pm

They look interesting–doesn't seem to be enough in the bag to be a serving, though.

  13. Deborah Waltenburg Posted on June 12, 2018 at 4:16 pm

Thanks for the review, and while they look delightful, unless they start selling them in Fort Wayne, (IN) I won't bother. Not going to pay over $13 for 1.5 ounces … Even with the discount code, no. That pricepoint is just not logical for that tiny amount of product.

  14. Keto in Transition Posted on June 12, 2018 at 4:24 pm

I thought they were chips. Darn

  15. Stephan Blake Posted on June 12, 2018 at 4:34 pm

  19. make itstop Posted on June 12, 2018 at 6:27 pm

Why is anything Keto so expensive????? Plus, such tiny amount of product! No way I will pay these prices…
Wal-Mart here I come 🙂 Good review though.

    Whoa! 😍😍😍😍😍

  24. Lisa Reynolds Posted on June 13, 2018 at 1:57 am

that dang GoFundMe is a rip off, my family used it to raise money for my blind nephews Dr. appts. it was almost impossible to get the money from them and it was not the total amount raised. They do have fees and such, but we only received a fraction of what we were suppose to get and Like I said it took a lot to get that. If he could come up with a more direct way to get donations , I am in.

  25. Dani L Posted on June 13, 2018 at 4:30 am

It looks gross, but the way you’re crunching it makes me want to try them.

  26. Kristine McCowan Posted on June 13, 2018 at 11:08 am

  29. AntiGravityGains Posted on June 16, 2018 at 2:56 pm

I love pork rinds. I have to try!!!

  30. Keto in Context Posted on June 21, 2018 at 4:37 am

Why even bother making it a resealable bag? It’s so small!!

  31. Cindy Cindy Posted on August 2, 2018 at 11:03 pm

Couple of questions- Are the pigs hormone & antibiotic free? Organically feed, no GMO's? Should be for the price.

  32. zd4v1d Posted on September 8, 2018 at 1:40 pm

    $6 for 1.5 oz? = $64 / lb. I think not.

  33. thisistheworldtoday Posted on February 8, 2019 at 4:42 am

That is the smallest bag of chips I’ve ever seen… yikes

  34. Susiescloset73 Posted on February 27, 2019 at 10:08 pm

Have you tried “Parks Famous Flavor Original Pork Cracklins”? They sell them at Shop Rite where I live for $2.99 per bag. It just the pork rind with the fat, delicious! Try them if you haven’t!

  35. Kevin Bullard Posted on March 17, 2019 at 10:35 am

How much for not even 200 cals of pig meat?
