Mmm-hmm check out these Instant Pot ribs.
Well technically they’re Instant Pot baby back ribs. Hi folks, it’s Mike with
Kitchen Tips Online ~ The place where the smartest people on YouTube come to learn
new kitchen tips and tricks to help them save time and money in the kitchen. On
this video we’re gonna show you how to use your Instant Pot electric
pressure cooker to make some delicious Instant Pot baby back ribs. Now I don’t
know about you, but I have trouble removing the membrane from my ribs from
time to time. And then I figured out that if you put the ribs under hot water in
this sink, it’ll soften up the glue that holds the membrane to the rib cage. And
then you can use something to pry underneath the edge and then grab it with
a paper towel and pull it right off. This happens to be a huge rack of ribs that
we got from Sam’s Club. Therefore we need to cut it in half to make sure we can
fit it inside our Instant Pot. And when you are using an Instant Pot electric
pressure cooker, or any other brand electric pressure cooker to make ribs,
you don’t need to get fancy with rubs and ingredients and all that other stuff.
We’re just gonna use one cup of barbecue sauce, and 1 cup of water.
We’ll mix it all together and put our ribs in. Then we will put the lid on and
set the valve that releases the pressure to closed. Now here is one of those
situations where size really does matter. If you got your ribs from your local
grocery store, the odds are pretty good that they’re not as thick as the ones we
got from Sam’s Club. Therefore if you don’t want to overcook them, you want to
use the less time on the timer. If your rack of ribs is small enough that you
can curl it up and fit it right inside the pressure cooker, especially if you
can fit two of them in there, then you want to use less time then we’re going
to use because our Sam’s Club ribs are very thick. We need to use about 40 minutes
on the timer. If you got your ribs from your local grocery store, the odds are
pretty good that you can use about 20 minutes on the timer. And when the time
is up on the control you can do a manual pressure release. Here’s a quick tip for
you on how to divvy up the ribs when they’re still hot. Just grab them with
some tongs, and use your kitchen scissors. Just slice them into portions. When the
pressure is all gone and you’re able to remove the lid, put the ribs on a wire
rack, add some barbecue sauce and put them under the broiler to crisp them up
a little bit. Well there you go folks, a very easy instant Pot baby back rib
recipe. And if you think we did a good job on this video, a thumbs up would
certainly be appreciated thank you very much. And if you want to see more videos
