How To Cook the Best FINGER LICKING LENTILS in 15 minutes – Prepara Lentejas espectaculares by Pachi


Hi! I am Pachi the Colombian cook. And today I’m gonna give you a magical realism as we prepare something that is so simple yet SO delicious, and that is lentils. We eat lentils at home at least once a week. You are gonna adore these lentils. They’re so good, and you can even give them to your baby! Okay. And here we have the lentils. They’re already done, perfectly cooked. And you see that the vegetables are on the side. So what we’re gonna do is we are gonna take the vegetables and blend them with a little bit
of the lentils. And this is gonna make a delicious, delicious sauce. Then you’re not gonna see ANY MORE of the veggies; in case you’re worried about your children looking at them and saying “Oh
my goodness. I don’t want this.”. So that we create a smooth paste… These are some amazing lentils that all
of your families are gonna love. Try them. They are amazing! Okay, so here we have our lentils with some rice. This is a complete protein. Do not worry if you don’t have any beef. I mean, for
vegetarians, there’s no problem, but some people think they need to have beef and beans, especially in Latin America. But we don’t, and these and a salad are gonna be an amazing, amazing, heartwarming dinner for all your family. I promise you have never had lentils like
this before. They are so, so good. You can even make these for your baby; just leave
the salt for the end which I do for my granddaughter. Here they are!

    Recipe in spanish:
    Lentejas de Colombia, Lentejas de Colombia
    8 porciones

    2 libra seca lentejas
    3 zanahorias, reducido a la mitad longitudinalmente
    2 tomates, cortados por la mitad
    2 cebolla, amarillo, reducido a la mitad
    2 cebolletas, parte verde también, opcional
    2 dientes de ajo
    1/2 pimentón rojo
    2 ramitas de cilantro
    2 cucharaditas de sal
    ½ cucharadita de cúrcuma
    ½ cucharadita de pimienta

    opcional:
    2 papas en dados pequeños
    1 taza extra de agua

    1. Coloque las lentejas y zanahorias en el fondo de la olla. Cubra con 4 tazas de agua o agua con suficientes para cubrir en ½ pulgada por encima de las lentejas.

    2. Coloque la parrilla de vapor sobre las lentejas. Añada el resto de los ingredientes excepto la sal en esta parrilla o placa. Cierre la olla a presión de vapor y cocine durante 8 minutos en medio. Deje que la olla descansar 8 minutos más, cerrada, y permitirá que salga la mayor parte del vapor lentamente, esto se llama la etapa de calentamiento.

    3. Retire las verduras de la rejilla de vapor y transfiéralas a el vaso de una licuadora. También, quite la zanahoria de dentro de las lentejas y transfiéralas a la licuadora con 1 taza de líquido de cocción de las lentejas y 1/2 taza de lentejas cocidas, ambas de la olla. Añada la sal ahora a la licuadora también. Mezcle hasta obtener una textura de puré.

    4. Traslade el puré de regreso a la olla, mezcle y sirva
