(bright music) – Everyone hits a plateau
at some point when dieting. In fact, it’s quite likely that this will happen three or four times before you reach your ideal weight. There are various ways of
breaking through a plateau but first you should ask
yourself the following questions. A, am I keeping my discipline? Am I overeating anything
permitted on my diet? Macadamia nuts, 100 grams of which contain about 700 calories. B, if I’m a female, am I having my period or entering the menopause? C, am I suffering from an illness? D, do I have a mineral deficiency? E, have I developed an allergy? For instance, to something in my diet. If the answer to A is yes,
it’s obvious what to do. Restore your discipline and stop eating anything you
are indulging in too much. To help you identify where your
discipline may be slipping, write down everything you eat and drink for two or three days. And I do mean everything. If you suspect the answer to
any of B to E might be yes, consult with your doctor. As I have said before, it’s essential to have a good relationship with your GP while you are on this diet.
