Lettuce Wraps with Spanish Tuna and Avocado – Gluten Free + Keto

Bienvenidos welcome to Spain on a Fork
today we´re making
Lettuce Wraps with Spanish Tuna and Avocado
now whether you´re on a low carb diet
or just looking for something delicious
these lettuce wraps are gonna be your jam
they´re super easy to make
they have an explosion of flavors
and they´re done in well under 30 minutes
plus they´re gluten free and keto
and there´s no cooking here
comon guys it doesn´t get any easier than this
now to make this recipe
I do recommend a couple of things
the first thing is the lettuce
I love to use romaine lettuce
when I´m making lettuce wraps
why? because romaine lettuce has such a great
flavor and texture to it
the perfect lettuce for lettuce wraps
and the second thing the tuna
make sure you use some high-quality tuna
I´m gonna be using some Spanish tinned tuna
considered by many people
the best tinned tuna in the world
you´ll find a link in the description box below
where you can get some
alright folks let´s get started
grab a head of romaine lettuce
and remove 2 to 3 of the outer leaves
cut the head of lettuce 6 inches from the top
and remove the leaves to get your lettuce wraps
rinse the leaves under cold running water
add to a salad spinner (or pat dry with a dish cloth)
grab 2 tins of Spanish tuna in olive oil
add the tuna to a sieve with a bowl underneath
and mix it around to release the oil
transfer the tuna to a large bowl
add 2-3 tablespoons of low-fat mayonnaise
grab 1 shallot
remove one of the outer layers
and finely dice it
add the diced shallots to the bowl
grab 1 ripe tomato
thinly slice it
stack up the slices
and roughly dice the tomatoes
add the diced tomatoes to the bowl
grab about 8 pitted black Spanish olives
thinly slice the olives
and then roughly chop them together
add the chopped black olives to the bowl
add 1 teaspoon of parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
lightly season with sea salt
and a generous portion of freshly cracked black pepper
mix it all together until well combined
start adding the tuna mixture into the lettuce wraps
grab 1 avocado
remove it from the shell using a spoon
and thinly slice it
to serve add the lettuce wraps to a dish
add 2 slices of avocado to each wrap
season the avocado with sea salt
and freshly cracked black pepper
ok guys our lettuce wraps are done
look how beautiful these guys came out
but now it´s time for the moment of truth
let´s see how they taste here we go
absolutely amazing
light on its feet
that tuna just really shines through
that´s why I tell you guys you gotta use some
good quality tuna
it makes all the difference in the world
in these lettuce wraps
you also noticed I didn´t add that much mayonnaise
that way it doesn´t over-take all the flavor
but just enough to hold everything together
you guys saw this very easy to make
perfect to take to work for lunch
enjoy it for dinner or anytime
super easy
