Microwave Chocolate Mug Cake (Eggless Cake) | 2 Minute Cake Recipe | Headbanger’s Kitchen


Horns up and welcome to Headbanger’s Kitchen.
Today, I’m going to be making something really
interesting; this is something that I don’t
normally do, which is cook using the microwave.
Now, I don’t know how many of you are like
me but every time I have a good lunch, I always
want something sweet after it.
And there was this one time when I was really
yearning for a cake, but there was no cake
at home, there were no eggs at home and I
couldn’t have been bothered to sit and bake
an entire cake for myself, so I found the
perfect recipe – a chocolate mug cake,
without eggs.
Yup, you heard that right.
This is a cake without eggs and it tastes
delicious and it’s made in minutes.
So today, as you can see, I’m wearing my favourite
Albatross t-shirt and Albatross is a metal
band from Mumbai who’s been on Headbanger’s

And I’ve decided, I’d like to showcase more
Indian metal bands in my show so every episode
that I do just cooking like this, I’m gonna
wear a new Indian band t-shirt.
And I’d like you to check these bands out,
they are awesome.
Anyway, now let’s go and make that mug cake.
Now I’m going to use my trusty Demonic Resurrection
mug to make this cake in but I’m going to
mix everything in a bowl to begin with, just
so you can see the process easily.
You can, however, start mixing everything in the mug directly.
So we’re going to start our mug cake by putting
in 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour.
Next we add 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa
powder.
Then we half a teaspoon of baking powder.
I’m adding 2 tablespoons of brown sugar but
you can use regular white sugar if you like.
Next I’m going to add little more than a pinch
of salt and guys, a little tip, salt really
brings out the chocolate flavour.
It’s like umami.
Now I’m going to add 5 tablespoons of milk
and then I add 2 tablespoons of regular vegetable
oil.
Now all I gotta do is whisk this all together.
Try and not make a mess.
There, it’s all beautifully whisked together.
And now, for the final step, I’m going to
chop up some of my favourite chocolate and
then just add that to the mixture.
I’m using different kinds of chocolate – a
little bit of Oreo, a little bit of salted
caramel, a little bit of espresso – and
just mix all of that in together, And if you
want, you can add Nutella to this, you can
add pretty much anything you want – chocolate
chips, anything.
The world is your playground.
Now that it’s all mixed in, we’re going to
pour this into our mug, and as you can see
I’m using my trusty Demonic Resurrection mug.
Now our mug cake is ready to go into the microwave.
Now this is going to take about a minute to
a minute and a half, depending on your microwave.
And remember, if your cake turns out too rubbery,
it means you’ve microwaved it for too long.
And you can see the cake rising up.
I had to microwave it for about 30 seconds more.
Look at that,
the cake is rising.
And there, the mug cake is ready, time to
decorate it,
and garnish it with some whipped cream
I’m going to go the extra mile and grate a
little more chocolate on the top.
Oh yeah, that looks amazing.
And there is our delicious mug cake.
Look at that delicious spongy cake.
A delicious gooey chocolate mug cake.
Hey guys so our delicious chocolate mug cake
is ready.
Ohh it smells delicious, chocolatey and it’s
soft and
that’s so good!
It’s not too sweet, it’s got these bits of
cut up chocolate that have melted and that
cream on top, oh my god, this is really good.

    I've try 4 recipe of mug cake on youtube and yours the best! I just put my mug on microwave for 3 minutes on high and fyi my microwave its 800 watt so ya, its very very hard lol so i think i will make it for 1,5 to 2 minutes on the second tryπŸ˜„ but over all, the taste is very good and nice, i love itttt❀❀ and sorry for my bad english, thankyouuuu

    I ALSO IMPROVISED THIS RECIPE:::
    I replaced the flour with 1.5 tablespoon of Psyllium husk, substituted the sugar with artificial sweetener, replaced the refined oil with low fat butter,cocoa with coffee powder. As I do not have a microwave, I steamed the mug-mixture in a deep wok with the lid on and some water just enough to create sufficient steam. It took around a minute and a half to turn this into a mighty keto-monster

    Could you tell me the volume of that mug please, how big does it need to be? Also what is the power rating of your microwave oven? & when you say you had to cook it for an extra 30 seconds did you mean that it your cooking time to 1:30 secs (the top time in your written recipe) or to 2:00 (top time plus 30 secs more) Thank You.
