IN TODAY’S COOKING WITH RANIA, WE’RE CONTINUING OUR MONTH LONG SERIES OF COZY BREAKFASTS AND LUNCHES FOR COLD WEATHER DAYS. WHAT ARE WE MAKING TODAY? WELL, TWO THINGS, WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THEM IS THEIR MAKE AHEAD. BRUNCH SHOULD BE SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN MAKE AHEAD. SO THAT YOU’RE NOT FUSSING TOO MUCH IN THE MORNING BEFORE THAT FIRST CUP OF COFFEE. I’M ONE OF THEM, DON’T TALK TO ME UNLESS I HAVE HAD THAT FIRST GLASS. THESE ARE BACON SLIDER. THEY’RE FUN. DERS. SO HERE’S A PLETHORA OF EGGS HERE, 8 OF THEM. OKAY. I’M GOING END UP, REALLY YOU COULD DO 8 OR I’M SORT OF MAKING IT HEFTIER AND I’M ADDING HEAVY CREAM OR WHOLE MILK WHEN I SCRAMBLE THEM. GOT TO ADD SOMETHING. YEAH AND I’M SIMPLY GOING TO WHISK THIS AND I’M DOING IT OVER THE PAN HERE WITH THE BUTTER MELTING. I DON’T BEAT TOO MUCH AIR INTO IT. IT. BECAUSE IT WILL JUST DEFLATE, YOU KNOW WHEN YOU BEAT TOO MUCH AIR, SO YOU WANT THEM TO BE LIGHT AND FLUFFY. HERE WE GO. I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THE BUTTER IS IN FACT MELTING. I’M GOING TO RAISE THE HEAT HERE AND I USUALLY MIX IT WITH A LITTLE SALT AND PEPPER. I DO TOO. YOU DO? YEAH, I DO A LITTLE BIT ON EVERYTHING. AND HERE’S A LITTLE BIT OF SALT. HERE’S A LITTLE BIT OF PEPPER. I HAVE TO TELL YOU, THAT BREAKFAST FOOD IS MY FAVORITE. WHEN I WAS PREGNANT THAT’S THE ONLY THING I CRAVED. ALL THE TIME. BREAKFAST FOR DINNER. YEAH, THAT’S GOOD TO KNOW BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT WE HAVE BEEN DOING ALL MONTH LONG AND NEXT WEEK. SO I LOVE THAT. HERE’S A STICK OF BUTTER IN A NONSTICK SKILLET, THAT’S IMPORTANT. AND I HAVE THE HEAT ON MEDIUM HIGH. THE BUTTER IS SIZZLING AND ADD THE EGGS TO THAT. JUST LET THEM REST FOR THE FIRST PART. LET THE BOTTOM COOK? YEAH, FOR A SECOND. SO THIS IS MAKE AHEAD, YOU DON’T HAVE TO RUN OUT THE MORNING OF AND YOU CAN GET THEM THE NIGHT BEFORE. IF YOU WANT TO MAKE THEM SMALL AND SLIDE SIZE, GOOD LUCK. I GOT A BAGEL FROM THE FREEZER DEPARTMENT AND THEY FIT IN MY PAN AND THAT’S KIND OF IMPORTANT. WHAT I WANT TO DO HERE — ARE WE PUTTING THIS ON BOTH SIDES? NO. JUST ON THE BOTTOM. SO YOU CAN SEE I’M MOVING THE EGGS AROUND AND THEY DON’T HAVE BEEN TO COOKED DRY, BUT SOME WHAT SET UP. IN THE MEANTIME, I HAVE BACON IN THE OVEN. I TOLD YOU BEFORE, THAT’S HOW RON DOES IT AND YOU’RE ON TO SOMETHING. THEN I DRAINED IT AND CRUMBLED IT. AND I ALSO HAVE CHOPPED CHIVES HERE AND CHEDDAR AND THEN YOU KNOW WHAT AN EVERYTHING BAGEL IS? DO I, [ LAUGHTER ] WELL, LET’S TAKE ONE OF THESE AND MIX IT AROUND. HOW ARE WE DOING? WELL, I’M WONDERING ABOUT THE WHOLE BELL SLEEVE HERE. TRYING NOT TO GET THE CREAM CHEESE ON IT. SO RIGHT ON TOP HERE. OOPS, I LOST PART OF THAT EGG, CAN’T DO THAT. THERE WE GO. SO I REALLY NEED TO SPREAD THESE AROUND. OKAY. NOW, THE — AND SO THEY’RE FULLY COOKED. RIGHT AND WHILE I SPREAD, YOU SPREAD THE BACON. ROLL UP THAT ROBE. WE SHOULD COME IN OUR PAJAMAS. MAYBE NEXT WEEK WE SHOULD. THAT COULD BE A HOOT. VIEWERS WILL THINK WE LOST OUR MIND. I WAS TALKING TO AN OLD HIGH SCHOOL FRIEND NOT TOO LONG AGO, WE USED TO HAVE SLEEP OVERS AND EAT DORITOS AND ALL THAT AND WE SHOULD A SEGMENT ON SLEEP OVERS. WELL, WHY CAN’T WE DO AN ADULT SLEEP OVER? WELL, WE HAVE TALKED ABOUT THAT WITH THE GIRLS HERE AT THE STATION. AND THEN LOTS OF CHEESE. WHY NOT? THIS IS JUST REGULAR SHREDDED. TOP THESE OFF HERE. . THEN BRUSH THEM WITH THE MELTED BUTTER. IF IT’S A GOOD TIME TO TAKE A BREAK, WE CAN DO THAT. YOU KNOW, WE’RE POPPING THEM INTO THE OVEN IN A MINUTE. WE CAN DO IT WHEN WE COME BACK. WE’RE MAKING THESE EVERYTHING
