Strawberry Guacamole Recipe

(lively folksy music)
– Hi, I’m Jerry James
Stone and you’re watching
Cooking Stoned.
In today’s episode, I’m gonna make this
super tasty, very simple,
strawberry guacamole.
Now, I know it’s kinda
weird, like strawberries
and guacamole, because
strawberry’s a fruit.
But, so is the avocado, so it’s all good.
So, the first thing we’re
gonna do is we’re gonna
chop up our strawberry into
like a really small dice.
So the funny thing about the strawberry
is actually, it’s not a berry.
Berries have their seeds on the inside,
and if you look at a
strawberry, you can see
that they clearly have
their seeds on the outside.
In fact, the average strawberry has
about 200 seeds on it.
Now, another funny thing
is, that the strawberry
is actually the only
fruit, though not a berry,
with seeds on the outside.
So, there’s a little fun fact for you.
Let’s go ahead and chop
up this, our jalapeno.
You can seed it if you
want, but I like my salsa,
or my guacamole, to be
on the warm side, so.
We have our mashed avocado here.
We’re gonna go ahead and
add in our strawberries.
How great does that look?
Next, add in our chopped red onion.
Put in some cilantro and
some fresh lime juice here.
Just go ahead and stir
it all together there.
Pinch of salt.
Just fold it all together.
You don’t have to overmix
it; you don’t wanna
mash the strawberries.
You just want to fold
them into the avocado.
Now it’s ready to serve.

It's an interesthing recipe! Do you use a more acidic strawberry to sort of play the role of lime juice or you use sweeter one's ?
