Tired of Chaffles? Try this Paffle Recipe!

hey there it’s Steve from SeriousKeto
and in this video we’re gonna try out the paffle but before we do that if you
enjoy low-carb cooking videos product and ingredient reviews as well as my
experiences with the ketogenic lifestyle and intermittent fasting click that
subscribe button down there while you’re at it click the little dial next to it
so you’re notified whenever I release a new video when I posted my first chaffle
video I got all kinds of suggestions including some words I had never heard
before like “paffle” and “chowl” and in this video we are gonna do the pathol and the
recipe came specifically from KCcat5 so KC this is your recipe you deserve
the credit look forward to trying it for starters we’ll make our pork rind
breadcrumbs wow look at this one 1 large egg beaten 1/3 of a cup of shredded
mozzarella 1/2 a cup of my pork rind panko 1/4 teaspoon of onion powder 1/4
teaspoon of garlic powder and 1/4 teaspoon of paprika sweet or smoked
mixed together until all of our ingredients are fully incorporated and
use about half the batter per paffle it’s been about five minutes so let’s
get this out and onto a cooling rack so first off I noticed the batter was a lot
thicker I didn’t expect it to spread a lot you may need to use a little bit
more than you’re used to in order to fill up your standard – waffle maker
let’s see how it tastes I like this and I was really unprepared
for the way it was gonna taste it reminds me both taste and texture a lot
of a seasoned tatertot this is another one that I think would make a really
nice sandwich bun I think you know you wouldn’t have to add anything really
additional in terms of condiments besides a little bit of mayonnaise
because it’s already got enough flavor in it I would think a roast beef and
cheddar or a turkey and Swiss on something like this would be pretty
amazing so one thing about this recipe that KCcat5 provided she had said
1/4 teaspoon garlic / onion powder and I don’t know if that meant 1/4 of a
teaspoon each or 1/4 of a teaspoon of either or 1/4 of a teaspoon combined I
think maybe this is a little bit strong on the garlic and onion powder and if I
were to do these again I might dial back and just do one quarter teaspoon total
between the garlic and onion powders unless I knew that I was gonna be
breathing on someone that I really didn’t like very much in which case then
ya go to town so that’s the poeple if you’re finding that you’re getting tired
of the chaffle land you’ll want to mix it up and get something that works out is a
pretty good sandwich bread I think this is pretty solid thanks for watching

You are fantastic, loving these recipes. I bought two dash iron waffles because of your videos 💓💓💓. Can you possibly start thinking of Keto smoothies or coffees, I'm tired of the standard bullet proof one. Thanks 😊😊😊

    Glad you enjoyed.
I meant 1/4 of a teaspoon each but that was a proximate because I eyeball.
I've been experimenting with this recipe from comments another of your fans made. I cut down the amount of panko to about 1/4 cup. With same results.

This looks fantastic! I smoked a pork belly and made pulled pork out of it, then served it open faced over a regular chaffle with mustard and pickles. It was SOOOO GOOD! I can imagine my pulled pork would be amazing over a paffle! I'm fasting today, but might try it tomorrow when I can eat again.

I like the idea of using pork rinds instead of almond or coconut flour, great substitution! Keeps it more carnivore, lol. I would also like to have seen this done in the mini griddle to look more like a burger bun, can you do that in a video? Love your channel, and look forward to each new video!

I bought pork rinds to make a Keto tortilla recipe that turned out quite well so I’ll give these a try next. To echo the others, I bought a Dash b/c of your video(s) and have also been experimenting with different cheeses, binders, and add-ins (e.g., bacon, crushed garlic, Chia seeds). I think this could make a good road snack for my long car journeys.

Well, that happened. Trying this soon. I use a Belgian Waffle machine. You know, the flip cooker. We split one for Breakfast and I have, with your guidance, come up with a Pizza Chaffle that rocks. I combine 2 eggs, 1 tablespoon tomato paste, 1 tablespoon psyllium husk, and 1/2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning. Blend well. I use an immersion blender. Add salt to taste. (Start with 1/2 teaspoon, and try it cooked to see if you need more next time.) I put a handful of grated cheddar on the open griddle, then carefully pour over the mixture. Top with crumbled browned sausage, and another layer of cheese. Makes it extra crispy to have the cheese separate. Close the lid slowly and flip and cook until the steam stops. 4 to 5 minutes. Once it is out, I top with a little shredded Mozzarella Cheese to melt a bit. Try this and see what you think. Based on your Pizza Chaffle.

The absolute best one I have tried yet is 1/4 cup of cheddar cheese, 1 egg, 1 heaping teaspoon of chocolate PB fit, a teaspoon of water, 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and a few crushed pecans. Cook 5 minutes, Cool on a rack, and butter the top and add 1 tablespoon of low carb, sugar free syrup. It's the best sweet keto thing I have had.

I made a sandwich with the base Chaffle yesterday and it was amazing, I added cream cheese as a filling to the sandwich with Zataar mixed with flaxseed oil, and tasted like heaven on earth, it tasted like I’m not on a diet I tell you, I could eat this every day! WOW!! I just made this today, and I really did not think I would like it. I usually do not like pork rinds! But I gave it a try. I used havarti cheese because that's what I had on hand. I had a bite of it alone, it was pretty good. I had it with some pink salmon on top, it was absolutely over the moon delicious! Thanks so much for sharing!!!

    FWIW… Here was my recipe:

    1 egg
    28g havarti cheese
    28 g crushed pork rinds
A couple dashes garlic powder and paprika.
    Dash it for 6 mins

(Makes two. Approx macros for one:
