World’s BEST LAKSA in Malaysia | MALAYSIAN STREET FOOD in Johor BahruRandall Smitham September 6, 2019 7 Comments
Crazy good! All the Laksa in the world should taste like this
If you love sunbathing, this is
the perfect place to be #joke
We just got out of a hotel just checked
out from Potpourri, JB, very nice
boutique hotel. We’re now walking
like eight minutes from the hotel to
this Laksa restaurant
One of the best round here and I love
laksa. Gonna go check it out and
try it out together
Hit me if I pronounced it wrong
W.W. Laksa House
Interesting, we got asked what type of noodle we want
Usually we go to any type
of restaurant, we got just this type..
Yellow Mee, Kuay Teow, Hong Kong Mee, Short Mee
This one is a fat Bee Hoon
This is thin Bee Hoon. You can mix them also.
For Dry Mee, we mix minced meat and black sauce
I recommend this for Dry Mee, Hong Kong Mee
This sauce is spicy? Yes
We came for Laksa but we got Laksa, Dry Mee and Otak Otak
I’m gonna let’s Kevin dive in first
This looks pretty much like,
Chinese influenced Thai food
So there’s not much of a taste at all
There’s not much of the spices or anything at all no?
Maybe that’s what that for
Oh I know I know.. try it with this
We got 2 types of drinks
So that’s barly
Interesting. Tastes like coconut water.
Look, how thick and colourful it is.
Unfortunately, they’re out of cockles so
No cockles today just, crispy wontons
I can already taste the taste of the curry
They recommend this type of noodle with it
it’s a little bit slippery
I’m not kidding fish should be
a definition of a really great bowl of Laksa
All the laksa in the world should taste like this
Remember the first laksa we had in Singapore?
You said like, ahhh.. but this one he’s like ah ah ah
Diving into it just like it’s a…
This thing called Otak Otak
You know what, right now the restaurant is packed
Oh! Because it’s lunch also
and it’s literally like packed packed packed
Almost every table is occupied
There come my Otak
Egg? Tastes like something we have in Thailand called Ho Mok
Egg, coconut milk, curry paste and fish or whatever meat you want to put in
Mix it all together then steam it or grill it
This could be a really good snack or appetiser
Or just eat it with rice, like, in Thailand
This, they call it Chin Chao, which is the glass jelly
This one has no taste at all.. nothing
Not much of the taste at all. It’s like plain barley
It’s that good you guys it’s crazy good
I don’t know how to explain but it’s just good
Not sure if we can go for another type of breakfast for today
because of this..
Too bad they’re out of cockles
Last time when we have Laksa with cockles, it’s super good
The cockles make it a little fishy and you can taste that, like,
Asian vibes kinda taste.. ?
Besides the tasteful curry,
One thing that makes this bowl of Laksa stand out
is this type of noodle
They’re popular for this one. It’s so firm and at the same time it’s soft
It’s nice texture in your mouth
We’re done for the W.W. Laksa House
I can’t believe that was..
CRAZY GOOD! One of the best Laksa I have tried so far
It’s here in JB or Johor Bahru, Malaysia
I’m like.. 100% or even 150% recommend
If you’re ever in JB
Come check this place out. It’s really good.
The Dry Mee’s kind of okay but the Laksa is a must!
I don’t know how to explain. It’s just good it’s just really good
Big one or small one?
Oh that’s big though
You want Chin Chao or Chocolate?
We call this ‘Chin Chao’
That’s the same thing we had at the restaurant
So just the drink
I hope you guys enjoyed Don’t forget to subscribe to Way Beyond PadThai Channel
and I will see you guys in the next video!
The dog.. the dog..
You guys, not so big of a cup
